Beverly Berry

It is with heavy and sad hearts to report the passing of our Beloved Matriarch---Beverly M. Berry, daughter to Andrew and Goodie Lewis Douglas. A woman of strength, fierce in battle, a warrior in spirit, courageous against all odds and not afraid to speak her mind, yet, has a heart of gold. Beverly, a native of the Island Jamaica, West Indies, born May 24, 1943. Attended University in St. Catherine Jamaica, W.I. Migrated to the United State in May of 1984, later attended York College, Queens, New York. Wife to Ansel Berry, mother of eleven, two of which transition to the Lord, a grandmother to twenty seven, and great grand to eighteen pioneering, spirited driven legacy.

Line from the DNA of Beverly, how can any of these trailblazers be any different, it is evident in our aspiration…the things we strive to accomplish for ourselves and our children; always to dream big, fight hard for the things we want in life, but never at the cost of bringing someone else down, be the best version of yourself and present yourselves well, and never forget where you're coming from. A phenomenal woman indeed, having the task of raising eleven unique individuals, I can’t imagine any of it being easy and keeping us grounded into becoming who we are today, the tenacity in forgoing the same strength as our mom is no doubts embedded into us, holding on to the values worthy in passing on to our very own…but that mantle she took on with pride, Even to the very end, in-spite of her ordeal she worries about her children, saying I don't know what I'm going to tell my children.

She remained courageous! A Mother’s love is Forever!

Mommy, you are a beacon of light that will forever shine as a beacon of hope in our hearts mom, live mighty in your heavenly glory, charged with the strength of the Lord doing his bidding as his Angel. We love you very much and will miss you deeply.
