Sherryl was a native of Jasper, Florida and had resided in Tampa, Florida for many
years. Sherryl Williams was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County,
she was a graduate of Hillsborough High School, class of 1974. She became a
member of New Progress M.B. Church and was a faithful member for over 56
years. She served in many ministries of the church: Deaconess, First Impression,
Williams Chorus and a facilitator of the Women’s Prayer line Ministry. She was a
former member of the Faith Gospel Singers and The Saints of Glory.
She was proceeded in death by her daughter; Lisa, parents, stepfather, and
brother; Arthur Cooper.
Sherryl leaves to cherish fond memories, a devoted husband of 33 years, Deacon
James Williams; (4) daughters: Brandi (Marcquis) Brown of Memphis, Tennessee;
Lakecia Fortune, Tiffany and Ebony Williams; sister, Linda (Eddie) Brown; (3)
brothers; Leonard (Viveene) Hale, Willie C (Lois) Brannon and Danny Bethel
(Carolyn); (9) grandchildren, Morgan and Marc Brown of Memphis, Tennessee,
Keychaun, Damani, Amani, Tanesha, James, Treyvon and Manuel; great-granddaughter; Zayla Morrow; Godson; Mark Bridgeman, mother in-law; Janice Williams, sisters-in-law; Queen Fleming (Hildreth), Earline Williams (Janice) Ruby Williams of Tifton, GA., brothers-in-law; Earlie Jr. Williams (Brenda), DavidWilliams (Emma) of Tifton, GA., Michael Williams (Lissette), aunt; Willie Mae
